TRAINING PROGRAM “INCREASE CAPACITY TO PRACTICE SOCIAL WORK WITH CHILDREN”

Working with children can be the grand recipe but also the most rewarding of the social worker role. However, it is easy to see that for students studying social work, they often focus on theoretical training with few opportunities for practice. In contrast, semi-professional social work workers have the opportunity to practice social work but sometimes do not perform in-depth theoretical experience.

Building capacity and expanding the network of social work practitioners with children, connecting theory and practice, the US INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL psychiatry institute (AIPI) organizes a training series program non-profit “Enhancing Capacity for Social Work with Children”.

1. Training content

Module 1: Discussion of interventional processes in clinical practice Social work with children (Including social work with individuals, groups and community development).
Module 2: Tools used in social work practice with children (use and analysis)
Module 3: Practical skills Social work with children in intervention and support practice.
Module 4: Individual and group training sessions on specific cases.

2. Participants:

3rd and 4th year students are studying a bachelor’s degree program in Social Work at universities. Completed modules on individual social work, group social work and community development.
Semi-professional social workers are practicing social work with children but have not received specialized training.

From May 23, 2022 to June 6, 2022

4. Cost of attendance:

For Students: 50,000/Session (10 sessions/course)
For semi-professional social workers: 100,000/Session (10 sessions/course)
