DEPARTMENT OF CHILD AFFAIRS VISIT ACTIVITY MODEL OF THE AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL PSYCHOSOCIAL INSTITUTION

On September 7, 2022, The American International Psychosocial Institution (AIPI) was very honored to welcome the delegation from the Department of Child Affairs under The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the occasion of the delegation’s business trip in Ho Chi Minh City to visit the model of AIPI.

The delegation consisted of 3 members including Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga – Deputy Director General of the Department of Child Affairs, Ms. Dang Thi Thu Huong – Deputy Head of the Department of Child Care and Protection and Mr. Nguyen Hai Huu – Expert – Former Director of the Department of Child Affairs.

Department of Children visits the Institute

At the meeting, the delegation heard the representative of the Institute, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet – Director of The American International  Psychosocial Institution, introduce the Institute, the services provided by the Institute as well as the way the Institute operates in the future.

After hearing the introduction about the Institute, the Department of Child Affairs’ side had very positive reviews and evaluations about the model of services that the Institute is providing for children and families.

Discussion about children

Concluding at the meeting, the representative of the Department of Child Affairs highly appreciated the results that the Institute has achieved in the past. The Department also highly appreciated the professional working system, quality standards of service provision, appropriate facilities, and professional capacity of the Institute. The Department of Child Affairs hopes to receive cooperation, share practical experience in inter-sectoral coordination, to better care for, educate and protect children in the coming time.

Since then, the Department of Child Affairs has had the basis to conduct research to develop standards of economic and technical norms as a basis for formulating unit prices for child protection services under the direction of the Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Government.

The meeting took place in a happy and open atmosphere in the spirit of sharing experiences and learning from both sides in the work of child care and protection of the Department of Child Affairs as well as psychosocial services for Children and Families of The American International  Psychosocial Institution.
